    Welcome to Risk Management

     

    The Risk Management Department encompasses: a self-insured workers’ compensation program with an early return to work program that strives to keep injured employees working in a temporary modified capacity while medical treatment continues; a pro-active property and liability program designed to protect the District from third party claims and reimburses the District for lost or damaged property; employee safety that includes safety plans and procedures for hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, site inspections, and staff training.

    The District desires to provide a work environment that is safe and healthful.


  • Safety Shoe Program

    The District recognizes the importance of Safety on the job and has partnered with Shoes for Crews for a Safe Shoe Program. Classifications are required to purchase with either a $100 or $200 allowance. Contact Risk Management to verify which positions meet the qualifications.

     OSHA Training

    OSHA requires all employees to provide a work environment that is safe and healthful. A written policy of the injury and Illness Prevention Program is available at each school site and department. You can access this information by utilizing the Right to Know Notebook located at the site or department staffs lounge or the District’s SharePoint drive. The following topics are required by OSHA and training is held annually. The District has partnered with in2vate through ASCIP to provide concentrated and accessible training modules.

    This orientation training will certify you until the following fiscal year. OSHA training is required annually.

    • Injury and Illness Prevention Plans
    • Personal Protective Equipment
