Megee, Jamie

Jamie Megee has taught for CJUSD for over 15 years.  She came to us from the Business/Tribal Government Industry, where she started as a Land Use Planner, and then became the director of Economic Development and finally their Tribal Administrator.  While working for the Soboba Band of Mission Indians, she had the opportunity to teach at D.Q. University and became the Department Head for the Community Development and Grant Writing Program.  She found that she enjoyed teaching and decided to pursue a career in education.

Mrs. Megee spent 14 years at Ruth O-Harris Middle School where she taught Keyboarding, Computer Applications, Introduction to Business, Yearbook, AVID Elective, and Math Enrichment before coming to GTHS.  She considers herself a lifelong learner.  Mrs. Megee earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine, her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Redlands, and later pursued a teaching credential from California Baptist University.  She loves working with students and found the need to increase her knowledge and skills, so she went to pursue a second Masters in Education with an emphasis in School Psychology from California Baptist University.

Mrs. Megee has many interests, but one that is especially close to her heart is financial literacy; she would someday like to become the “Suze Orman” of GTHS.
