A Message from Principal Tasaka

  • Washington High School is finishing yet another year with a lot to be proud of. We will be conducting our 11th Annual Student Celebration to recognize the hard work and progress of our students. It is a great time to celebrate their academic endeavors.

This school year also marks another year of meeting the needs of our students. There have been challenges regarding student behavior as well as successes we can all celebrate.  We are continuing our progress of implementing PBIS. We are also having an initial WASC Visit this school year. This year Washington will also be hosting its second Block Party. This is a great time for the community to enjoy the free food, games, prizes, and educational booths for kids, health and family. The students were also given the opportunity of visiting a museum and will participate in leadership training.

It is with conviction that the Washington Staff deals equitably with students in the areas of academics, behavior and special needs. We are looking forward to another year of challenges and great successes.

    Blessings,

    Pete Tasaka, Principal
