High School Graduation Requirements
Comprehensive High School Graduation Requirements

In order to obtain a High School diploma from a comprehensive high school, students must complete the following requirements:
- English--4 years
- Math--2 years (including completion of Algebra or equivalent)
- World History--1 year
- US History--1 year
- Economics--1 semester
- Government--1 semester
- Biological Science--1 year
- Physical Science--1 year
- Physical Education--2 years (mandatory in grade 9)
- Foreign Language or Visual and Performing Arts--1 year
Students must complete the above requirements and electives totaling 220 units.
Adult/Continuation/Alternative Education School Graduation Requirements

In order to obtain a High School diploma from an alternative or continuation high school, students must complete the following requirements:
- English--4 years
- Math--2 years (including completion of Algebra or equivalent)
- World History--1 year
- US History--1year
- Economics--1 semester
- Government--1 semester
- Biological Science--1 year
- Physical Science--1 year
- Physical Education--2 years (mandatory in grade 9)

Students must complete the above requirements and electives totaling 200 units.
