Parents new to the district will need to enroll their student(s) at their local neighborhood school by appointment only. You will want to call the school first to ensure someone will be there to help you as well as fill out the enrollment packet and make sure you have the documents you will need.
To find out which school attendance area you live in and to download the enrollment packet, please visit our Student Services Department webpage. Enrollment packets can also be picked up at any of our schools, the main district office at 1212 Valencia Drive in Colton or the Student Services offices at 850 E. Washington Street in Colton.
If your student’s Chromebook has problems and needs to be exchanged or if you are leaving the district and need to turn it in, you can do that at any of our schools. It does not need to be the school your child attends, but please be ready to provide the name, student ID number, and school of attendance.
For those leaving the district during summer break when schools are closed, Chromebooks and textbooks can be turned in at the District Office at 1212 Valencia Drive.
You need to contact your student’s school as soon as possible and inform them of the issue. If your student was out for a medical reason and has a doctor’s note, you will need to provide a copy of the note to the school office.
Transfer requests are processed through our Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) office in the Student Services Department and can take up to 30 days. Please see the Student Services Department page for forms and information.
Can our student continue to attend their same school if we are moving out of the school’s attendance
You will need to apply for an INTRA-district transfer if you are moving to another area within our district, or an INTER-district transfer if you are moving out of our district. Please see the Student Services Department page for forms and information.
